Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Yarra Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (846 males or 22.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (424 males or 11.4%)
  • Retail Trade (308 males or 8.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,578 males in total or 42.4% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Manningham employed 13.7% in Construction; 12.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.0% in Retail Trade.
