Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Yarra Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (731 females or 21.6%)
- Education and Training (490 females or 14.5%)
- Retail Trade (400 females or 11.8%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,621 females in total or 47.8% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Australia employed 23.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.2% in Education and Training; and 10.6% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Yarra Ward and Australia were:
