Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in South Launceston in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (639 people or 25.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (366 people or 14.7%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (330 people or 13.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,335 people in total or 53.5% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional TAS employed 16.5% in Professionals; 13.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 14.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
