Analysis of the household/family types in Wahroonga in 2021 compared to Ku-ring-gai Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 46.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 8.4% were one-parent families, compared with 45.7% and 9.0% respectively for Ku-ring-gai Council area.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 15.5% compared to 16.6% in Ku-ring-gai Council area while the proportion of couples without children was 25.3% compared to 24.8% in Ku-ring-gai Council area.
