Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Longbeach Ward in 2021 compared to Parkdale (east) & Mordialloc Planning area shows that 88.9% of the households owned at least one car, while 6.8% did not, compared with 90.8% and 6.2% respectively in Parkdale (east) & Mordialloc Planning area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 39.4% of the households owned one car; 37.5% owned two cars; and 12.0% owned three cars or more, compared with 37.3%; 39.2% and 14.3% respectively for Parkdale (east) & Mordialloc Planning area.
