Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Toogoom in 2021 compared to Fraser Coast Regional Council shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 19.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.9% were one-parent families, compared with 18.7% and 11.0% respectively for Fraser Coast Regional Council.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 20.6% compared to 25.5% in Fraser Coast Regional Council while the proportion of couples without children was 40.5% compared to 33.0% in Fraser Coast Regional Council.
