Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Fraser Coast Regional Council in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (7,998 people or 21.3%)
  • Retail Trade (4,166 people or 11.1%)
  • Construction (3,449 people or 9.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 15,613 people in total or 41.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional QLD employed 15.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.6% in Retail Trade; and 9.6% in Construction.
