Analysis of the household/family types in Kawungan in 2021 compared to Fraser Coast Regional Council shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 22.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.0% were one-parent families, compared with 18.7% and 11.0% respectively for Fraser Coast Regional Council.
