Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Campaspe Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,721 people or 15.7%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (2,165 people or 12.5%)
  • Manufacturing (1,807 people or 10.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,693 people in total or 38.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional VIC employed 16.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.2% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 7.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Campaspe Shire and Regional VIC were:
