Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Hawthorn in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (5,302 people or 41.1%)
- Managers (2,118 people or 16.4%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,595 people or 12.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 9,015 people in total or 69.8% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Junction Ward employed 41.5% in Professionals; 16.6% in Managers; and 12.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
