Analysis of the household/family types in Ward 1 in 2021 compared to Blacktown City shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 54.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.9% were one-parent families, compared with 45.1% and 12.8% respectively for Blacktown City.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a similar proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 11.0% compared to 15.1% in Blacktown City while the proportion of couples without children was 18.3% compared to 18.3% in Blacktown City.
