Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Heathcote and District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (134 males or 16.0%)
  • Manufacturing (113 males or 13.5%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (82 males or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 329 males in total or 39.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Greater Bendigo employed 16.5% in Construction; 12.1% in Manufacturing; and 3.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Heathcote and District and the City of Greater Bendigo were:
