Dominant groups

Analysis of the five year age groups of North East Precinct in 2021 compared to the City of Banyule shows that there was a higher proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a higher proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 19.5% of the population was aged between 0 and 15, and 20.0% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 17.8% and 18.8% respectively for the City of Banyule.

The major differences between the age structure of North East Precinct and the City of Banyule were:
