Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the population born overseas in City of Whittlesea in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (9,835 people or 21.4%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (6,389 people or 13.9%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (6,038 people or 13.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 22,262 people in total or 48.5% of the employed population born overseas.
In comparison, the total population in the City of Whittlesea employed 18.7% in Professionals; 12.5% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 14.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population born overseas in the City of Whittlesea and the total population in the City of Whittlesea were:
