Dominant groups
The size of the City of West Torrens's non-English speaking labour force in 2021 was 11,107 persons, of which 4,570 were employed part-time and 5,391 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) of non-English speakers in the City of West Torrens in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of West Torrens shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 94.3% of the non-English speaking labour force was employed, and 2.8% unemployed, compared with 95.3% and 2.5% respectively for the total population in the City of West Torrens.
Analysis of the non-English speaking labour force participation rate of the population in the City of West Torrens in 2021 shows that there was a higher proportion in the labour force (67.0%) compared with the total population in the City of West Torrens (65.6%).
