Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the people in low income households in City of West Torrens in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Community and Personal Service Workers (271 persons or 21.4%)
- Labourers (191 persons or 15.1%)
- Sales Workers (180 persons or 14.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 642 people in total or 50.6% of the employed people in low income households.
In comparison, Greater Adelaide employed 19.5% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 19.3% in Labourers; and 13.2% in Sales Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by people in low income households of the City of West Torrens and Greater Adelaide were:
