Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by recent overseas arrivals in City of West Torrens in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Community and Personal Service Workers (991 persons or 25.5%)
- Professionals (741 persons or 19.0%)
- Labourers (717 persons or 18.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,449 people in total or 62.9% of the employed recent overseas arrivals.
In comparison, Greater Adelaide employed 20.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 20.8% in Professionals; and 17.4% in Labourers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the recent overseas arriving population of the City of West Torrens and Greater Adelaide were:
