Dominant groups
Analysis of household income levels for people born overseas in Wellington Shire in 2021 compared to the total population in Wellington Shire shows that there was a smaller proportion of people born overseas in high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion in low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).
Overall, 16.5% of people born overseas were in households that earned a high income, and 26.3% were in low income households, compared with 18.6% and 19.9% respectively for the total population in Wellington Shire.
