Dominant groups

Analysis of household income levels for non-English speakers households in Wellington Shire in 2021 compared to the total households in Wellington Shire shows that there was a larger proportion of non-English speakers in high income households (those earning $3,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income households (those earning less than $800 per week).

Overall, 24.9% of non-English speakers were in households who earned a high income, and 15.3% were in low income households, compared with 18.6% and 19.9% respectively for the total households in Wellington Shire.
