Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Ashmont in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (238 people or 18.3%)
  • Retail Trade (172 people or 13.2%)
  • Construction (104 people or 8.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 514 people in total or 39.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Wagga Wagga City employed 17.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.7% in Retail Trade; and 8.5% in Construction.
