Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Wagga Wagga City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (4,684 females or 28.7%)
  • Education and Training (2,524 females or 15.5%)
  • Retail Trade (1,843 females or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 9,051 females in total or 55.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 26.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.9% in Education and Training; and 11.3% in Retail Trade.
