An analysis of the jobs held by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resident population in Wagga Wagga City Council in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Total employed persons aged 15+ (1,594 people or 100.0%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (361 people or 22.6%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (224 people or 14.1%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,179 people in total or 136.7% of the employed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resident population.
The major differences between the occupations held by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population of Wagga Wagga City and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander of Regional NSW were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (22.6% compared to 19.3%)
