Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Latrobe Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (709 females or 26.1%)
  • Retail Trade (388 females or 14.3%)
  • Education and Training (348 females or 12.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,445 females in total or 53.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Clarence employed 25.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.1% in Retail Trade; and 15.5% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Latrobe Council area and the City of Clarence were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (6.3% compared to 0.9%)
