Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Latrobe Council area in 2021 compared to George Town Council area shows that 92.7% of the households owned at least one car, while 2.9% did not, compared with 87.7% and 5.9% respectively in George Town Council area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 31.0% of the households owned one car; 37.2% owned two cars; and 24.5% owned three cars or more, compared with 33.6%; 32.0% and 22.0% respectively for George Town Council area.
