An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Chippendale in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

- Managers (612 people or 14.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,918 people in total or 67.8% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Paddington employed 48.8% in Professionals; 21.3% in Managers; and 9.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
