Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Golden Beach in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (405 people or 18.6%)
  • Construction (288 people or 13.2%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (197 people or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 890 people in total or 40.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Nambour - Burnside and District employed 19.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.4% in Construction; and 7.2% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Golden Beach and Nambour - Burnside and District were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in accommodation and food services (9.0% compared to 7.2%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (13.2% compared to 11.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (4.5% compared to 6.3%)
