Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Maroochydore in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (833 males or 17.9%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (488 males or 10.5%)
  • Retail Trade (390 males or 8.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,711 males in total or 36.8% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Mountain Creek employed 19.8% in Construction; 8.1% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 10.0% in Retail Trade.
