Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of females in Sunshine Coast Council compared to Caloundra - Kings Beach - Moffat Beach - Shelly Beach shows that there was a lower proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 6.3% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 8.0% for Caloundra - Kings Beach - Moffat Beach - Shelly Beach.
The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Sunshine Coast and Caloundra - Kings Beach - Moffat Beach - Shelly Beach were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (14.8% compared to 10.4%)
- A larger percentage of females aged 5 to 9 (3.4% compared to 0.0%)
- A larger percentage of females aged 10 to 19 (3.5% compared to 2.1%)
