Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Languages of the Philippines speaking resident population in City of Ryde in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (642 people or 42.3%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (209 people or 13.8%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (151 people or 10.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,002 people in total or 66.1% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 29.5% in Professionals; 15.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 10.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Languages of the Philippines speaking population of the City of Ryde and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Professionals (42.3% compared to 29.5%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (3.5% compared to 8.1%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Labourers (6.5% compared to 11.0%)
