Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Greek speaking resident population in City of Ryde in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (144 people or 27.3%)
- Managers (95 people or 18.0%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (89 people or 16.9%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 328 people in total or 62.2% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 24.8% in Professionals; 17.5% in Managers; and 17.5% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Greek speaking population of the City of Ryde and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Professionals (27.3% compared to 24.8%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (9.5% compared to 11.2%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed Greek speakers in City of Ryde decreased by 46 between 2016 and 2021.
