Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Malabar in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Education and Training (199 people or 12.8%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (199 people or 12.8%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (178 people or 11.5%)
In combination, these three industries employed 576 people in total or 37.1% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Randwick City employed 10.9% in Education and Training; 13.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 13.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Malabar and Randwick City were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (12.8% compared to 10.9%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in other services (4.7% compared to 2.9%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (11.5% compared to 13.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in financial and insurance services (5.6% compared to 7.7%)
