Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Palerang Eastern Areas in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (240 people or 16.4%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (205 people or 14.0%)
  • Construction (175 people or 12.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 620 people in total or 42.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council area employed 1.6% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 26.2% in Public Administration and Safety; and 11.6% in Construction.
