Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Kangaroo Ground in 2021 compared to Nillumbik Shire shows that 93.4% of the households owned at least one car, while 0.0% did not, compared with 95.7% and 1.7% respectively in Nillumbik Shire.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 11.3% of the households owned one car; 35.6% owned two cars; and 46.4% owned three cars or more, compared with 20.8%; 43.3% and 31.6% respectively for Nillumbik Shire.
