Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Wallsend in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Technicians and Trades Workers (738 males or 24.4%)
- Professionals (552 males or 18.3%)
- Labourers (386 males or 12.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,676 males in total or 55.5% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, Rankin Park employed 20.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 24.8% in Professionals; and 8.8% in Labourers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Wallsend and Rankin Park were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Labourers (12.8% compared to 8.8%)
- A larger percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (24.4% compared to 20.6%)
