Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in the City of Newcastle in 2021 compared to Adamstown Heights shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 24.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.6% were one-parent families, compared with 40.0% and 9.2% respectively for Adamstown Heights.
