In 2021, there were 144 separate houses in the area, 600 medium density dwellings, and 391 high density dwellings.
Analysis of the types of dwellings in The Hill in 2021 shows that 12.7% of all dwellings were separate houses; 52.7% were medium density dwellings, and 34.4% were in high density dwellings, compared with 79.7%, 15.5%, and 3.8% in the Hunter Region SA4 respectively.
In 2021, a total of 87.4% of the dwellings in The Hill were occupied on Census night, compared to 91.6% in Hunter Region SA4. The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 12.6%, which is larger compared to that found in Hunter Region SA4 (8.2%).
The total number of dwellings in The Hill increased by 19 between 2016 and 2021.
