Dominant groups

Analysis of the qualifications of the male population in Rural Planning Area in 2021 compared to the Hills District shows that there was a lower proportion of males holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of males with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 55.7% of the male population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 37.7% had no qualifications, compared with 65.5% and 30.6% respectively for the Hills District.

The major differences between qualifications held by the male population of Rural Planning Area and the Hills District were:
