Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Deception Bay in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (1,002 males or 25.6%)
  • Labourers (722 males or 18.5%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (716 males or 18.3%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,440 males in total or 62.4% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Brisbane employed 20.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 11.2% in Labourers; and 10.9% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Deception Bay and Greater Brisbane were:
