Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Former Caboolture Shire District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (12,533 people or 15.4%)
  • Construction (9,864 people or 12.1%)
  • Retail Trade (8,564 people or 10.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 30,961 people in total or 38.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Moreton Bay employed 16.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.7% in Construction; and 10.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Former Caboolture Shire District and the City of Moreton Bay were:
