Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Petrie in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (400 males or 17.9%)
  • Retail Trade (207 males or 9.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (199 males or 8.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 806 males in total or 36.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Rural Planning Area employed 20.2% in Construction; 6.2% in Retail Trade; and 6.4% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
