Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Rural Planning Area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,950 females or 22.4%)
  • Education and Training (1,222 females or 14.1%)
  • Retail Trade (792 females or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,964 females in total or 45.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Bellmere - Moodlu employed 26.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.8% in Education and Training; and 13.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Rural Planning Area and Bellmere - Moodlu were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (7.6% compared to 3.6%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (14.1% compared to 10.8%)
