Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the City of Moreton Bay compared to Morayfield shows that there was a higher proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 9.5% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 8.4% for Morayfield.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Deception Bay and Morayfield were:
- A larger percentage of persons aged 20 to 59 (6.3% compared to 5.2%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 85 and over (44.3% compared to 64.8%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (32.2% compared to 34.8%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 10 to 19 (7.2% compared to 8.8%)
