Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Ballan Region in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- Australian (3,198 people or 40.2%)
- English (3,198 people or 40.2%)
- Irish (1,158 people or 14.5%)
- Scottish (951 people or 11.9%)
- German (409 people or 5.1%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 8,914 responses in total, or 111.98% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Ballan Region and Moorabool Shire were:
