Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Stroud and surrounds in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (165 people or 14.0%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (163 people or 13.8%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (129 people or 10.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 457 people in total or 38.8% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Pacific Palms - Coomba Park area employed 14.6% in Construction; 3.5% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 13.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Stroud and surrounds and Pacific Palms - Coomba Park area were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (13.8% compared to 3.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in transport, postal and warehousing (6.8% compared to 1.4%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in accommodation and food services (6.4% compared to 12.3%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in education and training (4.8% compared to 9.4%)

The number of employed people in Stroud and surrounds increased by 117 between 2006 and 2021.
The largest change in the jobs held by the resident population between 2006 and 2021 in Stroud and surrounds was for those employed in:
