Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest and surrounds lies in the south-east of MidCoast Council. The localities of Warranulla, Bunyah, Wootton, Bungwahl, and Seal Rocks lie to the north. The eastern and much of the southern boundary runs south bordered by the Tasman Sea. The balance of the southern boundary runs along the Wallaroo State Forest. The western boundary nestles beside Limeburners Creek, The Branch, Girvan, Booral, Stroud and Terreel.
