Analysis of the car ownership of the households in St Ives Chase in 2021 compared to Ku-ring-gai Council area shows that 97.1% of the households owned at least one car, while 1.7% did not, compared with 93.5% and 4.3% respectively in Ku-ring-gai Council area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 19.3% of the households owned one car; 51.9% owned two cars; and 25.9% owned three cars or more, compared with 35.0%; 41.1% and 17.4% respectively for Ku-ring-gai Council area.

There were no major differences in St Ives Chase between 2016 and 2021.
