Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Cheltenham in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,106 females or 21.8%)
  • Education and Training (665 females or 13.1%)
  • Retail Trade (565 females or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,336 females in total or 46.1% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Highett employed 20.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.5% in Education and Training; and 9.0% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Cheltenham and Highett were:
