Dominant groups
Analysis of the qualifications of the population needing assistance in the Inner West Council in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a lower proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), as well as a lower proportion of people with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 30.0% of the population needing assistance aged 15 years or more held educational qualifications, and 59.4% had no qualifications, compared with 31.2% and 61.7% respectively for Greater Sydney.
The major differences between qualifications held by the population needing assistance in Inner West Council area and Greater Sydney were:
