Dominant groups
Analysis of the unpaid domestic work performed by the female population in Sunbury in 2021 compared to Hume City shows that there was a higher proportion of females who performed 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work per week.
Overall, 32% of the female population reported performing 15 hours or more of unpaid domestic work, compared with 27.2% for Hume City.
The major differences between the share of the female population performing unpaid domestic work in Sunbury and Hume City were:
- A larger percentage of females who did unpaid domestic work (total) (75.6% compared to 60.4%)
- A larger percentage of females who did between 5 and 14 hours of domestic work (28.4% compared to 21.1%)
- A larger percentage of females who did between 15 and 29 hours of domestic work (17.2% compared to 12.9%)
- A smaller percentage of females who did no unpaid domestic work (20.1% compared to 33.6%)

The largest changes in the number of females performing unpaid domestic work in Sunbury, between 2016 and 2021 were those who:
- Did no unpaid domestic work (+850 females)
- Did unpaid domestic work (+679 females)
- Between 5 and 14 hours (+339 females)
- Between 15 and 29 hours (+240 females)
