Analysis of the qualifications of recent overseas arrivals in Gold Coast City in 2021 compared to South East Queensland shows that there was a higher proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of people with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 68.6% of recent overseas arrivals aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 27.2% had no qualifications, compared with 66.4% and 29.6% respectively for South East Queensland.
